The check engine light is mainly tied into the pollution controls, MAS O2 sensors, EGR, and the many sub systems involved with emissions. Replacement of the part is the only fix. Sensor as you know are electronic devices, when the fail they fail and replacement is the only fix.

I believe this check engine light has to do with the Fuel Tank's pressure sensor. Could be an electrical fault in the fuel tank pressure sensor.

As I said in my first post, the check engine light is for the emission system, mainly the MAS and O2 sensors and ALL the subsystems. No there is no easy way to fix. I wouldn't start replacing parts, if you do happen to replace the correct one, you will still get a check engine light, as it has to be reset with a coder. So go to the dealer and find out what exactly is wrong. Old way troubleshooting with new cars, can run into more money then having a expert put the car on a computer and finding (usually) the correct fault. Take my word, I've been down this road. Cars today are designed so the DIY can't fix as much as we would like to.

You made the right decision. Cars today are rocket science and getting more compicated as time goes on. Soon a tech will need a PHD to fix them
