Hi, how is the chassis number apponited and what does each part of it refer to. such as WDB1241312C056542. I know the 124 part refers to the model but do not know what the rest is for. Does any body know.

WDB = Mfr or Mercedes Benz
124 = chassis model
131 = chassis sub model
2 = check digit
C = factory
056542 = Chassis end number
