Hi Fi

 1)  I would lie to know if anyone was able to use another brand of cd changer than the Mercedes changer?
 2)  I heard from a person in the car audio business that Alpine changers could be used with Mercedes.
I would like to know if this is right ?
 3)  If so, what model of Alpine works.
 4)  Also would the controls on my steering wheel work?
 5)  Same wiring in the trunk?
      Thank-You.

It would be extremely helpful if your post included the specific model and production year of the car...  otherwise forum members are just guessing when posting a response.
