C230 Kompressor 1995 Alarm Imobiliser

Hi,

This morning I tried to start the car ,it would turn over but would not fire,I noticed on the mirror that the green light was flashing,I rang our local MB dealer who were too busy to speak to me,I spoke with a merc specialist who said try replacing the batteries in the remote,tried that and it was no different,the red light does not light on the mirror,I am told I will have to replace the whole mirror,as any of you had this same problem.
