My C220 Diesel (2006) headlight switch panel lighting does not illuminate, yet the panel lighting for the door mirror control directly above is ok (see photo). The Mercedes dealer told me that the headlight panel lighting is never illuminated. This is incorrect. I have checked similar cars and it illuminates as expected. Can anyone offer an idea? Thank you.

hi graham I have just purchased an 06 plate C220 CDI & mine illuminates the same as yours!!!!!!!!i.e top bit illuminates & bottom doesn''t.

I spoke to many Mercedes owners and dealers. They all say the same, i.e the bottom part does not illuminate. I cannot fault anything else on the car, but this is strange. If they managed to illuminate the top part you would think it would be not so difficult to illuminate the lower section also. A question for Mercedes I think...
