c200 kompressor 2002 mod

I've just bought a Mercedes c200 kompressor reg.in 2001. It turns out that it is "eating" the mass air flow sensor. I have changed two of them in 1 mounth, and when I checked the history of the car it showed that this had been a problem before as well. This is costing me a lot of money and frustration Now I have to go to the workshop for the 4'th! time in two mounth to solve this problem. Does anyone know what could cause this problem?
