hi i have c180 elegance 1998. wonder if anyone can help. in the morning the car will only start if i put my foot on accelerator and when i move off the car rev's very high before it struggles to change gear, it struggles to get to 30mph. the problems seems to go away after 2 miles and for the rest of day. can anyone PLEASE PLEASE HELP ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY
ive looked at other posts but all seem to give a different line of advice

Hi fiendo,
I will ask some questions to help me and others figure this out.
1) try to determine if the problem is with the "engine" or the "tranny"
2) Does the "engine" run fine at idle?
3) Does the engine rev ok while in park?
4) Are you comfortable that the problem is not with the engine?
5) consider the simple issues with the tramsmission.
6) Is the fliud level proper?
7) what color is the tranny oil?
8) Is the tranny oil clear and red, or does it have a muddy or glittery look?
9) does the shaft, just under the shifter knob, get hot after driving?
10) Are any check engine lights lit?
