Blue Tooth and my Treo

Just acquired a 2009 SL550.

Great car without a problem.... however, my Treo 700WX from Verizon will not connect properly. It tries, but the connection is continually dropped and then reconnected. What a pain.... every 30 seconds a message pops up saying that it has connected.

Wireless4mb.com says to go out and get another phone....

Any ideas? I can''t be the only one who has a Treo and wants to connect it to the mercedes.
