I am useing a
mercedes STAR (BASIC) at work.
I have just started updateing the parts (such as ME control unit...etc.) with the SDflashing software.
The prob is i can update those parts o.k BUT i need to put in a SCN codeing number before the car will run right. I do not have the FDOK at work nor can i go online and get it that way. I think if i had the STAR COMPACT 3 i could go online and get it, (is this true).
So is the only way round it to go to a MB
Dealer and ask for the SCN code
OR
is there a nother way i could do it on my own.
