BBQ @ Valley Forge Park, PA - July 9th

A few friends and I are organizing a BBQ to have at Valley Forge Park in Valley Forge, PA. We usually have a GREAT turn out of cars at these events, and I would like to invite all of you to attend. It's just a large group of car enthusiasts getting together to get to know one another and discussing what we all have a passion for...cars! Don't worry, this isn't your typical Honda ricer fest...! Verbal and/or physical violence will not be tolerated.

P.S. Everyone needs to bring AT LEAST one item of food to the meet. So, when you post, please write down the item of food you will be bringing.

Haha, well if you lived closer, you could attend! Or you could come out this way JUST to attend...I don't know if it would be worth it to you though! I'm still working on the Viper, Corvette, and Camaro guys. I'm competeing with an annual MR2 BBQ and Tunerfest in New Jersey...but we've got some good responses so far!

I am truely sorry that I am already booked for that day, evan if I would be the only grayhaired guy over thirty. But please keep me posted on the next one, or evan a poker run or just a meet and drive.

CLK500, where do u live that it's far from you? We might have some people driving up from MD to come to it.

SL600, I'd take New Zealand over a BBQ any day! Haha.

If you were a littler closer I would certainly do both the BBQ AND New Zealand :)

Haha, a few of us are talking about driving to TunerFest at the New Jersey Shore after the BBQ. That car show doesn't end until 11pm, so, we're good. But they're calling for isolated thunderstorms for Saturday...so we might have to postpone the BBQ. :(

That's one of the MAIN reasons I moved to California. When Summer hits, it hits big time. No rain for months.

Winter is a different story..... but then again it doesn't snow either so I can't complain too much :)

Hope you can quickly get together a plan B

I already made the rain date for Sunday, July 24th if it rains on Saturday. Everyone said that's okay with them. Plus. more said if I make it that date, they'll come out for sure. So, we might have close to 40 some people there. WIth everyone bringing an item of food! Haha. SL600...do u need a roomate?! I have always wanted to live in Cali, just for the weather and relaxed atmosphere. Well, San Diego is where I'd like to live.

Any plans to repeat such a BBQ ? I live in West Chester, pretty close to Valley Forge.

Oh, yes, I am planning a charity event next time. I am not going to hold it until Spring though. I need to contact some companies to donate. All of the proceeds are going to go to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. But I will post updates on that at another time. It's going to be one big surprise! And I am hoping an amazing turn out.

Thats a pretty good turnout. My favorite car would have to be the silver rx7 with the c/f hood. My cousin is at Penn State, is that anywhere near Valley Forge? My other cousin is in Scranton, is that close?

blackbenz, Penn State what? Penn State Main? Penn State Abington? Penn State Berks? Abington is kind of close, but not really. Valley Forge is right outside of Philadelphia and King of Prussia. Scranton isn't close either.

Not sure which one, I would think its main campus.

You could make a trip out of it?! Stay in Philadelphia! There's lots to do there.
