1998 E320 135K --Good News: Well, I finally got my car back from having spring perch issue resolved.
Bad News: The shop tells me I need new ball joints....tops and bottoms.
I am noticing some noise, but nothing major. They told me that it would cost over $1000 to have it done. ANyone have any suggestions on how I can get a better price. I'm pretty good with the wrenches, but never worked on a Benz....could I do it myself??

you could,however without the proper tools it would be tough.
many members have bought the parts and found an indie shop to install by calling around or diy with the help of the alldatadiy and some rented tools.You need to get it alinged afterwards.
