OK, I got tired of my garage looking like a machine shop, which I ordinarily found cool, but now that I''m older I had a pro designer design my garages. I wanted a 1920''s theme, even though I do not have any 1920''s cars. I like the whole roaring twenties theme, she actually found a mercedes toolbox from the period which looks great, and the floor is sort of art-deco, the colors look great with the artwork, which I have never had in a garage. There''s nobody to show it to; I guess it is for my own enjoyment, which is ok. I seriously began to shop for a 1920''s mercedes, but I didn''t know that there was only ONE in existence, priced at 11,000,000 US, which is way out of my reach. I was hoping to spend 250k at the most, but apparently that is rediculous, so I will do without it. No wonder even wealthy people get the replica; there simply aren''t any real ones... I built an extra storage room to keep all the clutter that would ordinarily clutter the garage; it contains all the new spare parts I keep for the house and cars. It keeps the garage clean. Today, I got my cars out and drove them around. I know better now not to let them sit too long. You have to keep them moving. I think it is better to drive one every day than to let one sit idle. My dad, who is more of a Ferrari-man, said that it is better for a ferrari to be worn-out and crashed than to sit idle, and I am beginning to agree. A car being stuck in a garage is a cruel life.

I wish we had a useable garage at the least. Ours on the left side has a golf cart, fourwheeler and a billion random useless things piled up. On the right side there''''s a lawn tractor, 2 refrigerators, storage cabinets that haven''''t been put up and more random useless things. This all happened to a garage that''s not even a year old, it''s pointless to have one if it''s not useable. I don''''t know what I''''m gonna do in late October when my 190e 16v arrives. If it''''s not cleared, hopefully our french doors in the basement are wide enough to squeeze a car through and the parents don''''t get pissed.

Do you have a digital camera? Take some shots of it and your CLK if you can

LOL, park it in the dining room... Yes I have a camera, and hopefully can take some photos today. I keep waiting for the perfect day and never do it.

I had the same problem with clutter in my garage. It wasn''t junk; it was stuff I had to keep. A coral fireplace mantel that had to be installed, a lawn tractor, yard tools, jack stands, etc. I finally had to add an extra room, and that was the best idea. Now everything is out of sight at least.
