G day, my name is Richard and im just after some advice . Im going to by an older Mercedes saloon, something from 1983 to 1995 and wondering if there were any models in these years that i should stere clear of due to defects or reoccuring problems, any information would be greatly apreciated. chers.

Yes, get one that has been given proper care. Too many initial repairs would be discouraging and unnecessary.
