94 C280 Hesitation and Miss On Hard Acceleration

Under hard acceleration, my 94 C280 develops a miss, which requires me to shut off the engine and restart before it will go away. The problem was much worse before I put on a new gas cap and new Bosch plugs. In addition, the check engine light has been on for some time now. One tech told me to replace the EGR valve, but these are around $290 at the dealer, and $200 elsewhere. Can anyone help!

if you want to clean your egr value ,the best is when you take out your egr at the same times use the shop air to blow from engine to exhaust..
if your bosch spark plugs is the $1 a piece platinum ,please change back to the regular one ,or buy it from the dealer.......if not you will be very sorry.........

check for the blocked exhaust too or catalyst.

What's the age of your fuel filter? This could be the cause (I'd only know if I were to drive it...), regardless, it's relatively inexpensive to replace and can only do positive things for you.

Could be your suppressors. Little coils encased in plastic above your spark plugs. On other cars (older Mercs) they are your spark plug leads. Normally last around + - 120 000km.
