somethings up with my '92 2.3, heat works ok when idle or in town driving. but when I get out on the open road - the cabin temp drops (in sync with the engine temp guage). adjustment to climate control wheel does nothing (except make it colder if you turn it down). Whats up here?? I've tinkered with everything I could think of. Please help??!!

It simply sounds like your themastadt is bad. Blue

Thanks for the response... I'll see about getting one tomorrow.  Besides that, the only thing left I could think of was air trapper in the cooling system. Some reading I did indicated a bleeder fitting somewhere on the cylinder head near the tstat housing, but I couldn't locate it. Thanks again

the bleeder fitting is the little screw on top of the thermostadt housing. you loosen it slightly while the engine is warm and running, then snug it tight when coolent starts to seep out of it. This "burps" the trapped air.

Make sure you note which way the thermostadt goes in. I usually forget which side goes up. Blue
