02 sensor light in 87300E coming on now after a long trip. In my volvo I was told I could reach under the dash and reset it..but really..what does the o2 SENSOR DO? And how important is it to the performance of this car-or is this just an emissions thing-also how expensive is this and does it mean it needs replacing or cleaning? Thanks for any help.
