Hello,
Can anyone help. My alarm goes of for no reason. What can I check myself or do I have to get hosed by the dealer.

some members got the same problem but different reasons:
door switch not properly in place.
PSE pump water penetration/faulty.
interior motion sensor too sensitive.

I don't mean it to be rude but maybe you should just get your car checked by the dealer

This car is out of warranty. You're obviously very young or lucky enough not to be ripped off by a dealer YET. Especially with an intermittent problem like this. A dealer could spend days on a problem like this. So I also don't want to be rude but GROW UP!

I just bought an 02 and within the first two weeks I had alarm problems. $900 later it's fixed. The PSE unit , which is in the trunk someplace had water damage. I don't know how, the trunk was dry, but it happened. Not good, but I still love my car. Good Luck.
